Common Questions & Expert Guidance

Common questions about ADI Part 3 Training in Bradford & Leeds.

How long is a standard driving lesson?
Our standard sessions are two hours, which gives enough time to warm up, practise targeted skills, and debrief properly at the end. Shorter one-hour refresher sessions are available for pupils who are near test-ready or returning after a break. Book your first session →
What is the theory test and do I need it before starting lessons?
The theory test covers multiple-choice questions and a hazard perception video section. You must pass it before booking your practical test, but you can — and should — start lessons before sitting the theory. Many pupils learn to drive and study for their theory concurrently. Start your lessons now →
What happens if the DVSA cancels my test?
DVSA occasionally cancels tests due to examiner availability or severe weather. Your fee is protected and you will be rebooked. Contact your instructor immediately so lesson continuity can be maintained until your new date is confirmed. Get in touch →
I am a nervous driver — do you work with anxious learners?
Absolutely. Many of our pupils come with significant anxiety or after difficult experiences elsewhere. Our instructors are trained in calm, structured coaching and always begin in quiet streets before gradually introducing busier roads — entirely at your pace, never rushing you towards a test date. Book a confidence session →
How many lessons will I typically need before my test?
The DVSA estimates most learners need around 45 hours of professional tuition and 22 hours of private practice. In reality, lesson frequency, prior experience, and consistency matter far more than any average. Your instructor will give you an honest, personal estimate as you progress.
